My country has seen the rise of terrorism.
Please stand with us.
Stand with the people of Mesopotamia by spreading awareness.
We just want peace.
We want to do what everyone else does so easily.
To simply live life.
Unfortunately, even our capital Baghdad has been shaken with bombs claiming the lives of thousands of innocent souls.
Yet we still feel as though our voices aren't heard.
We love everyone, and we love peace.
We just want the war and fighting to end.

I notice you're from the Iraq! Ton of history there! I’ve always been
fascinated with the Middle East.
I found that a lot of people here in the U.S. don’t know much about their own country,
much less anyone else's. 
I post prayer updates about different countries. Part of the reason is to raise awareness
about what's going on in the rest of the world. Recently I’ve started my own private initiative; if I notice someone on DA is from another country, if I've done their country
I let them know. It’s my way of letting them know that others are thinking about their home.

It is bordered by Syria, Turkey, Iran, Jordan Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Baghdad is the capital.
The population is 26 million.

The ancient city of Babylon is located in Iraq.
Abraham, the ancestor of both Jews and Arabs was born in Iraq.

HISTORY
Iraq has a long and rich history.
Iraq has been known to the west by 'Mesopotamia'(Land between the rivers)
The region between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers is often referred to as
the cradle of civilization and the birthplace of writing, law and the wheel.
Iraq was the center of many indigenous civilizations including Sumeria, Akkad,
Assyria, Babylonian and Abbasid.
It was also ruled by various other empires, including the Persian, Parthian,
Sassanid, Roman, Mongol, Abbasid and

My heart is crying for the innocent Christians who are persecuted everyday for no reason.
Especially in Syria where Islamic jihadists labelled as "moderate rebels" are terrorizing Christian villages with international support.
Iraq has changed from what it once was.
Our leaders are now corrupt, hiding behind stacks of oil money.
And I agree with your message. I hope the Christians stay strong to their faith and I hope they return back home.
Iraq is nothing without our Christian brothers and sisters.
I am a Shia from the south and so unfortunately I don't see much Christians.
But I have seen them in Baghdad, they so peaceful and loving.
